At present, ship and offshore platforms are usually equipped with electrolytic Cu-Al anodes for antifouling or combining electrolytic chlorine generator and Cu-Al anodes for anti-fouling and anti-corrosion. The principle of the former is utilizing the toxic Cu2O and floc carrier of Al(OH)3 produced by electrolysis to adhere themselves onto the inner side of seawater pipelines to effectively restrain the inhabition and growth of marine life. The technology of combining electrolytic chlorine generator and Cu-Al anodes for antifouling and anticorrosion is created by our company and this technology utilizes the available chlorine produced by DSA anodes to form a coordinating effect with Cu2O and Al(OH)3, this way can control the adhesion and growth of marine life more effectively; the corresponding equipment has no pollution to the enviornment and the antifouling performance is remarkable, it has been applied extensively in areas of ship and offshore platforms. The two technologys above mentioned have been applied in more than one hundred of ship and platforms.
